Resident and Faculty Teaching Honor Roll for 2025 announced
The resident physicians and faculty named to the Teaching Honor Roll for 2024-2025 who train Wayne State University medical students have been announced.
“The Wayne State University School of Medicine is fortunate to have outstanding residents who teach at each clinical campus, and realize the important and central role that each resident plays in student education,” said Christopher Steffes, M.D., assistant dean of Clinical Medical Education. “Residents repay the excellent teaching they had as students by passing it on to the next generation.”
WSU’s third-year medical students regularly evaluate residents on various clinical services. The student evaluation scores are collected and reviewed by clerkship directors, and the top residents are named to the Resident Teaching Honor Roll.
Students also evaluate the teaching skills and effectiveness of each faculty member during clerkships. The student evaluations are collated and ranked, and those in the top percentile of faculty in the individual clerkships are named to the honor roll.
