Biography
Dr. Ghadear Shukr is a fellowship-trained Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgeon, completing her training at Henry Ford Hospital in 2022. In 2024, she earned her Focused Practice Designation in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS). She joins the department after serving as an Assistant Professor at the University of South Florida in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Her clinical expertise spans advanced laparoscopy, abnormal uterine bleeding (AUB), fibroid management, endometriosis, and menopause care. Passionate about medical education, Dr. Shukr has received multiple teaching excellence awards and has mentored residents and medical students throughout her career.
Dr. Shukr also serves as the Associate Program Director of the OB-GYN Residency Program, where she focuses on designing and implementing a competency-based surgical curriculum to train the next generation of gynecologic surgeons.
