Residency
Thank for your interest in the Wayne State University School of Medicine Obstetrics and Gynecology residency program. Our is a four-year program sponsored by the Detroit Medical Center. The program currently approved for ten residency positions per year, makes the Detroit Medical Center one of the largest OBGYN training programs in the nation. Clinical training takes place primarily at Hutzel Women's Hospital in Detroit, long recognized as a leader in women's care.
The Detroit Medical Center residency program in Obstetrics & Gynecology draws strength from the diversity and expertise of Wayne State University faculty, and its close association with the Perinatology Research Branch of the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development National Institutes of Health.
The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology offers accredited fellowship programs in the following areas:
- Gynecologic Oncology
- Maternal-Fetal Medicine
- Maternal-Fetal Medicine and Medical Genetics Training Program
